On one of my favorite worlds I was digging and walked into a missing chunk, I tried exiting and reselecting the save, and running minecraft's newest version over it to fix any broken files.
Whenever I try to run it, Steve goes through the falling animation before the chunks around 1 chunk load. The center chunk refuses to load and laggs the game unto unplayability.
Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I also tried A +F3 which supposedly forces every chunk to reload. Didn't work
Download and run MCEdit, load the saved world where you are having the problem (with minecraft closed), move your respawn point out of that chunk, save your change, close MCEdit and open Minecraft, your problem should be fixed.
BTW, while in MCEdit, you can also go to "camera view" instead of "chunk view" and select the bad chunk by clicking on it to highlight it and then delete it in the lefthand menu list. The deleted chunk will "generate" again when you get within render distance of it in the game, just like it did the first time you ever got close to it in that world.

Worked like a charm thank you very much!
