So yesterday when my WoW account ran out of time I decided to check out Minecraft since I have kept up with all of the updates and I wanted to see how they were. When I went to log-in it instantly said "Can't Connect to Minecraft.net." So I made sure my password was correct although if that was wrong I would have got a different message.
Now, I still cannot connect to minecraft.net or even log-in to my Minecraft account via client.
Here is some stuff I did to troubleshoot the problem:
1.) I tried to use "Magic Launcher" to log-in.. Got this error message http://pastebin.com/KUp76Jec
2.) Updated my Java to Java 7 Version 21 and it still does not work
Anyone have a clue?
I also never merged my Minecraft account.. Not sure if that matters.
If your client can't connect, go to help.mojang.com and check to see if one of the Service Statuses is down.
Check your firewall to see if it's blocking you connecting to minecraft.net
You can also select 'Play offline' when the client says it can't connect.

By the looks of that error, there was an issue in the SSL certificate for Minecraft logins. Try it again later and see if it works.
