Hey guys!
So as a birthday present for my friend, I recently got her a minecraft gift code for an account she already had. Buying it went fine, and she sucessfully applied it to her account. However... When she tries to log in, it doesn't work. If she tries to update, it says "Failed to update: Fatal error: null (4)" (or something similar). If she doesn't try to update, it just plain doesn't work. We're both pretty crushed that this gift isn't working out so well. She's tried logging in to minecraft on three separate computers (one of which is mine, and works fine with my account), none of them worked. We think it's an issue with her account rather than her computer. She's re-installed minecraft billions of times by now to no avail. She's also tried force updating plenty, gets the same error message. Help??
We have Sophos Anti-Virus per school rules. But it works fine for me and I'm on it too. She's tried logging in on my computer and it hasn't worked either.

Retired StaffIf it's Fatal Error (4): Null, then I'm sure it's Avira or McAfee's internet security filtering the connection. Do you have any of those installed?
