I have been experiencing extreme framerate issues, a constant 10 or lower, the last two days. adjusting all settings to the bare minimum helps in the area of 5 or 6 fps, but dips back down to 10 or lower when doing any activity, or being near any at all. i play daily, and have never experienced this problem this persistantly before. my gear is always the same, just a macbook. i did upgrade to mountain lion 10.8, but i was having trouble just before. its why i took the time to upgrade my os last night. any one having similar issues lately?

no gear or software changes in over two years, except the afore mentioned changed from mac os 10.7 to 10.8, but im fairly sure i had this problem just before. its game breaking so far. 5 days ago it ran fine, all settings up to full, now its 10 or lower no matter what, 2-5fps if im anywhere near anything and moving at all.

no. no changes. i did update my os to mountain lion 10.8 the night i first started getting these problems, but that was why i updated, just thought minecraft was having a bad night. im running off the launcher now, playing the snapshots, but all versions have the same problem, even on a superflat world, structures off, peaceful and paused, my fps never get better than 15 or 16. im going to downgrade back to 10.7 tonight, see if maybe im wrong about having these problems before. also, i notive my allocated memory is 20% and used stays around 13-15%, but this isnt different as far as i can remember. i tried to research how to increase the allocated memory, but with the new launcher its like all the core files dont exist on the drive like they used to. i never realized how important MC is to me till these last few days. lol. please. help:)
