Although I feel ridiculously stupid asking this, I have recently been working on a few custom maps. Today I began to work again on a mini-game (it's called Scavenger Omega) and I was screwing around with command blocks. I placed one under a block with a pressure plate....so forth. When I was done I had to do something on the internet, so I clicked "Save and Quit to Title" and then exited the window. When I came back, I saw that all I had done in that session was gone. The command blocks weren't there at all. Nor was anything else I did (and yes, I had been working on the map before this happened with no issues). I tried doing it again, blaming it on my memory. No luck. I did it two more times and I got the same result: for some reason my game will not save anything I do. It happens with all my maps, not just that one. Please give me some solution if possible; if this continues I will have to stop mapping altogether.
Never had anything like this happen to me, 1.5.2 continues to save as good as ever. Perhaps something in your Minecraft.jar file is corrupted?

SDM and Squid Army fanboys/girls. You're as ridiculous as each other. Gold=Butter=Gold. Why do you harp on about something as trivial as what people call it?

Sorry, no. I've tried force updating and deleting the bin, so there shouldn't be any corrupt files. I did have mods, but I had them earlier in the same version and it worked perfectly well. I had: XCommands, TooManyItems, Optifine ; I have: Optifine
I swear, this is the weirdest thing I have ever seen on Minecraft.
I tried to run as administrator, and it didn't work (tries a 2nd time). Now it works, thanks. But the strange thing is that the area I mentioned (the one where I was screwing with command blocks) still does not want to save my changes. But it's only that area. This makes me think that maybe the chunk it's in is screwy, because it is quite possible that the areas on that map that DO save are in a different chunk. I don't know. *Sigh* Thanks and by the way, it now works in normal (non-administrator run) Minecraft, too. I don't know what is going on. Perhaps someone could help me figure this one out?

Any other ideas?

Why, Notch?
Maybe I'm just insane.
