My issue is with both the regular version of Minecraft and with snapshot 13w18c, on a MacBook Air. I've modified my controls to make hitting a block/using an item to be the keyboard, C, but this issue persists when I switch it back to Button 1/left click...
I can only destroy blocks if I am wielding the proper tool; that is, pickaxe for stone, shovel for dirt, etc. So... I cannot punch blocks or hit them with improper tools. As in, no digging dirt with a pickaxe and no punching trees for wood (which is kind of necessary to start a new world).
I thought in Adventure Mode you would be unable to destroy any blocks? I can destroy stone so long as I've got a pickaxe on hand, dirt so long as I've got a shovel, and so on. This has also happened with all worlds I've loaded, survival and creative (in which I switched to survival game mode).
Edit: Maybe it's an issue with my existing worlds, a new world and I can do this... sorry!

Thanks for any help!

Retired StaffIt will then switch you back to survival. You must have cheats enabled during world creation for this to work.

Retired StaffThis is how Adventure mode works, yes. You cannot destroy blocks without proper tools.
