I have researched how to backup minecraft worlds on a flashdrive on mac, but when I go to Application Support, the Minecraft folder, like specified, its not there. CAN SOMEONE HELP??

If you're just in the Minecraft folder, you'll need to go into the Saves folder. Your saves should be there.
