I've been playing minecraft frequently up to the 1.5.1 patch. Since my server has upgraded to the 1.5.2 patch, I have experienced serious gameplay issues.

Along with frequent disconnects from my server (Internal Exception: java.net.Socket.TimeoutException: Read timed out), I have also encountered black screens and eternal ingame falling after connecting to my server which I assume is chunks not loading.

Please help me out, the Dxdiag file is attached below. Really appreciate your help, thanks in advance.

Have you had any luck using Optifine to get rid of lag / have a performance boost?

On the other hand,
the server you play on could be at fault, are other users on the server experiencing the same issues as you?

Hi Tedster,

I have updated to the latest drivers, unfortunately after joining the server I still see a black screen. It appears that the chunk I am standing in is not loading.

In regards to other players on the same server, no they are not experiencing the same issue.

Seems like a connection problem what's the ping between you and the server?

I have experienced the falling forever after logging in. There have also been multiple times where when the world does load. I'm in a block, though it can be resolved with a little jumping around.

Any potential fixes?
