We should all know by now that Minecraft uses the LWJGL to run. I don't know how many people are aware of this, but Minecraft 1.5.1 was using an outdated version of the LWJGL. The latest version is 2.9.0. Updating to the newest version manually in 1.5.1 could in many cases increase your Minecraft performance, or it could decrease the occurrence of bugs and crashes.
Here's my question: Does the new version of Minecraft, 1.5.2, already come with LWJGL 2.9.0, or do we still need to download the update manually?

Yes, it does still use 2.4.2 by default.

Retired StaffOr use the pre-release / dev launcher. It uses 2.9.0.
