Hello everybody,

This is my first post and the main reason why i created an account on here. I tried looking to see if this has already been answered but so far nothing works. Whenever i attempt to open up minecraft it keeps on giving me a message being:

Launch4j;
An error had occurred while starting the application; the requested operation requires elevation.

i already tried uninstalling java and then re-installing but that didn't work. I also tried deleting and re-downloading minecraft. Obviously, nothing has worked. Any suggestions will be great.

actually after playing minecraft for awhile i quit and then later reopened mc. i still had the same problem so i did the same thing, setting mc as an admin, to fix it. it worked but i have to do that everytime i want to play. is there something else i can do so once i fix it i won't have to fix it every time i want to open it?

Hey there! I had the same problem as you did til found this thread via google (thanks cestislife). I've come to say that you don't have to right click "run as admin" everytime. You can right click Minecraft.exe and go to the Compatability tab in its Properties. At the bottom you should see something like Privilege Level and a check box to Run as admin. Check that and problem solved! Sorry if I'm a few months late lol never had the problem until now.
