So I'm here because I'm having a problem in my world. The blocks in a specific area keep reverting back to an old state. What I mean by this is that I had some blocks placed in a small area in a room, but every time I return to my world, the blocks I had placed there show up for a second, then replace themselves with blocks that were there before. I cannot walk into the area where this is happening, my character just gets stuck. If i replace the blocks there, they turn into the blocks that had disappeared. If i break the blocks, the old blocks will also appear. This only happens in that specific area (about 50 blocks from the ground) and does not happen at ground level. It's become annoying because no matter how many times I rebuild it, it just disappears when I leave my world, and I remain unable to walk into the area.
I deleted the problematic chunk in MCEdit twice but to no avail. Even though I deleted that entire chunk, it still regenerates even with the stone bricks that are giving me problems. I've never seen such a bug in Minecraft.

Any help would be good.
Thanks

Could it be a problem with the save file itself?
