I can't figure out how to run the game on the Windows 8 PC. Can someone help me with this issue.

Um... run it like you would with Windows 7?

I've not had any problems with running Minecraft.

How to play Minecraft on Windows 8:

1. Uninstall Windows 8
2. Install Windows 7
3. Install Minecraft
4. Play Minecraft

I haven't had a problem with my Minecraft on windows 8. Just download it and find in in the folder it was downloaded to and open it. I'm not sure why you are having a problem.

Also, to the people that say windows 8 is bad and they should stick with windows 7, you most likely don't know what you're talking about. There really isn't a huge difference besides a new interface which you can pretty much ignore. Windows 8 also runs a lot faster than windows 7.

But it should run like it would on 7, You are not the first to have problems though just search for all the Win8 Related problems on the forums

I have no problems running Minecraft on my Windows 8 machine and it doesn't make sense that it wouldn't work on it. Anyways if you really want a start button either wait till Microsoft Blue or whatever which is planned to have a start button or you can download the windows8 start button from Stardock.

I am having the same problem, but I didn't download from minecraft.net I transferred from my Windows Vista.
