Specifics: A few seconds after I open up a SP or connect to server, Minecraft freezes my computer screen for a few seconds and then the screen goes black. When it refreshes, Minecraft displays a blank screen and on my toolbar a bubble pops up saying something along the lines of "Your graphics driver failed but was restored automatically". After that I go to the Task Manager and then end Minecraft's process.
I've tried manually updating video drivers/java in the past but i've never been successful and usually just ends in my laptop crashing and me having to restore back to old stuff.
I have no clue what is going on right now and all I want to do is play Minecraft which looks to be very simplistic and easy to run. Please help!
Okay.
1) Do you have the Beta drivers? If so, get rid of them, downgrading.
2) Are you using the latest normal drivers? If not, upgrade.
I don't have any beta drivers, and to update my video driver i let my computer's manufacturer
download it from the computer's device manager.
I'll try it again to see if that works.
So I tryed the AMD Catalyst Driver Detector but it came up with this. (Below)
Also, about that AMD Catalyst Software Suite, every time I've tried to use it to update my driver it crashes my computer to a blue screen
and then I have to revert back to my old driver.
And as I predicted I tried the AMD Catalyst Software Suite and right as It was installing the new video driver my computer blue screened and when I restarted in Safe Mode this appeared. (below) I'm not sure how to open the minidump or the other file so tell me how if you would like to view those.

Alright, that seemed to work! Thank you so much for taking out time from your life to help me out with this problem. I didn't think I would ever be able to play Minecraft anymore!

Retired StaffNot according to your DxDiag log.
You can try this auto detect tool.
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx
But if that fails to resolve the issue, install the Catalyst Software Suite here.
