Today when I was playing Minecraft on my Questics! world, I noticed that a chunk refused to load where my Zombie Pigmen trap was located. I tried Save and Quit, then logging back into the world, but that didn't help. So then I tried closing Minecraft, re-launching it, and then loggin into the world again, and the chunk is still missing. It goes all the way down to the void, and I'm sure it reaches all the way to the sky roof, since I can't place any blocks in the area.I'm not sure if this will help, but I'll add it just in case: the seed that my world is created in is -2297881496746032416. I've never had this problem before, so I'm not sure what else to do.

It does not matte what we are, or where we are from, we are all people.
Errors like this are nothing new. The FeedtheBeast world I had was badly corrupted due to a power outage I had, needless to say I had to use last weeks backup and lost a bit of progress.
However there is nothing that is gonna kill over to say. But the chunk is "lost" at most. But you can use MCEdit and find the chunk (it will show as you see it now) and highlight that using the chunk selection tool and regenerate it. Note you probably will have to rebuild your trap.
I don't back anything up, I just hit the "save and quit" button. T~T I've only been playing Minecraft for a few months, so I don't know all the ins and outs, such as all the divices, mods or what the MCEdit is, so I think it just might be "lost" forever. If I made a copy of that world, woould that chunk also be gone in the copy?
I appreciate what help you've given me so far. Thank you!

Why this statement never hurts.
Always backup your game saves.
