Okay so I went on a small trip to a ravine I had found. I found a mineshaft as well as a Stronghold. All good, but with all the loot it was time to go home. So a point at the edge of the ravine is (-863,34,119), and my home's front door is around (-325,64,63). Not too far of a trip.
Now I'm on my way home, which is a rather slow trip considering I have to make multiple chests and delete multiple chests so it's a one way trip. But as I'm going, I'm getting major amounts of lag. I already have my F3 up and I see my used memory is flicking between 99% and 100% and my allocated memory is 100%. This had never happened before, so I just exit out and come back in and it goes back to normal.
As I'm continuing, I see a missing chunk. After leaving and restarting the game a few times it still stays, well, gone. Not too big of a deal until right beside it an entire army of chickens starts pouring out of a spot where I'm sure it's a chicken spawn.
I have a picture here of the missing chunk/chicken army.
I've had some glitches happen in the past right in my house. Cows glitch out of their pens, both as just a visual glitch where they are untouchable, but also just walking through them as if they have no collide factor on them. Also sometimes when I am fishing, my hook will float up about a block above the actual water.
I do not have cheats enabled, my world is normal survival, and I have not changed between gamemodes on this world.
Does anyone know a way to fix these, or at least help make these things happen less often?
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.
