(On windows by the way) I usually type in %appdata to get into my minecraft to add texture packs, download maps, and whatnot, but when I went to go do it just now, it just said I had over 1,700 files. All of them were my minecraft stuff, but no folder for it specifically. So I managed to save my worlds to my desktop, and deleted all the minecraft files. Then I re-downloaded minecraft, in hopes of it making a new folder. It didn't. And still when I type in %appdata, it still says I have a bunch of files, but no folder.
Help, please? I've never had this issue before.
I would create a folder on my desktop, name it .minecraft and drag all of the Minecraft files into that folder, and drag the folder back into your appdata folder, and then try running the game.
