I'm pretty sure this has been seen millions of times and I have done the only known solution I can find.
I have had Minecraft since 2011 and I haven't had this issue until recently I upgraded to Windows 8 for fun, and it doesn't work. It has something to do with OpenGL and my video card drivers, the error is:
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

I have already tried to upgrade my video drivers, they're already updated according to Windows. Any help is appreciated, don't play much but it's bugging me now
Also, I have noticed that you are not using 64-bit Java, it would be worth install this for better performance. Choose Windows Offline (64-bit) http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
Okay thank you for linking that Java page, could never find the 64Bit Java download, thanks again.
And running that EXE I get (in a message box): "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."
Thanks for all of your help so far.

That would mean you have to install via the .zip installation to force the win7 drivers. Be sure to
Right-click the Intel® graphics controller and click Update Driver Software.
Click Browse my computer for driver software.
Click Browse and select the directory where the driver files are located.

Retired StaffWindows Updates is always wrong when it comes to hardware drivers.
Please provide your DxDiag log.

Retired StaffThis is the cause of your issue. Microsoft drivers do not support OpenGL.
Please follow the instructions here
http://www.intel.com...b/CS-033916.htm
With this zip file

Retired StaffOf course it will say that.
Anyways, you can try running this installer.

That's what those original instructions were, it claims it's already updated. Should I just launch Setup.exe?

Retired StaffYou could attempt that.
But if it does not work either, you can uninstall the drivers there, then try the force installation via have disk again.
Nope Setup.exe gives same error.
