This bug is where a piston is extended even when it is not powered. Here are some pictures:

The blocks placed in that order will give you the glitch. Anyway, just throwing this out there.

Please, don't get this glitch fixed, it's actually rather convenient on multiplayer

This is actually a very useful bug. The most common (and actually the only one I can think of) use of it is in block update detectors.
