I'm new to Minecraft Forums and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to put this but I badly need help. I have serious lag on Minecraft and I'm not willing to replace any parts of my great laptop, but I have been informed to check my FPS and report my problem. So I checked (the average good fps is about 40-60) and mine was 2 FPS. I believe this is REAL bad and I badly need help!
I will check this post everyday and if I soon get this problem fixed I will probably make Minecraft Let's Play's on YouTube. PLEASE HELP!
P.S Thank you so much for reading this!
P.P.S I do love Minecraft and I am busting to hear answers PLEASE HELP!
Alright, try Optifine modifications.
I am not a fan of any mods but I know that one works, it should kick your Frames to about 60 or even 80.
You can even go about changing your viewing distance to tiny which I know is extremely limited but will help your frames to be faster.
Set graphics to fast
Smooth lighting to off
Render distance to short or tiny
Advanced OpenGl to off
Vsync to on
Particles to decreased or off
3D Anaglyph to off
If the frame rate is still low install Optifine and you should see some improvement.
By the way, if your laptop can barely run the game how do you expect it to run the game and recording software at the same time?
Thank you guys! Yes it is true that Minecraft is not the only game in the world and I know that. Any more? I tried the Optifine Mod and it didn't seem to work. I used the Light version (there are versions when you download it) and it didn't work. Is that because I was informed to use Magic Launcher. Need help with this and I am so glad people have read and put some action into my problem. You guys are great!
P.S Can you give me some recommendations on other games other than Minecraft? I'm not really looking forward to LP's on violent games either. How does EuroTruckSimulator 2 sound?
I am so glad that people have taken my problem to account and helped me. I will try all of your ideas but I still require a tiny bit of help. I will be looking at the posts after this post for the following questions:
1. How to properly install Optifine Mod with Magic Launcher
2. On the Optifine Mod page, it has three types. Light, ??? and Ultra. Which do I use?
3. Other than Minecraft, what are some non-violent games on the Computer that don't use up much "CPU"
If you want to answer these questions the layout will be

Record as in Camera not on screen (it's going to look crap but what can I do?)

Retired StaffThe thread itself has instructions on that.
Does not matter. I would recommend Light if you do not want the extra texturing/rendering features of the mod.
Minecraft is a very CPU and GPU intensive game, don't let the retrostyle graphics fool you.
