I can run normal vanilla minecraft version 1.5.1 at 100+ FPS whenever I play with maxed out settings (fancy graphics, etc) with a 64 x 64 texture pack (Sphax's). However, when I tried running the new snapshot, my FPS falls to 8-20 FPS at the lowest settings possible. Anyone know how I could fix this?

I've tried updating my Java version and also updating the LWJGL as well but nothing seems to work so far.

I have a Dell XPS 17 with an Intel i7 core;

I'm not sure how else I could increase my ram but I'll look into it. I think that if it was the problem then my 1.5.1 wouldn't work so well but you never know.

Thank you! That actually helped! I didn't know that my Intel Integrated 4000 was handling the graphics. After changing it to the nVidia settings, the FPS went straight back up.
