When I try to instal or update minecraft (I deleted all of my minecraft data initally because some add-ons failed) I get this message:
Fatal error occured (4) C:\Users\MyRealName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\minecraft.jar (acess is denied)
When I go into this folder the file aux.class is there but not really I cannot do anything to this (btw I also have a folder on my desktop that does the same thing, something about an adventure map called CUBE Inc.) I can look at the file info and that is about it.
If it helps I am running Windows 7 and have a Dell Inspiron
Much help would be appreciated
You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, start Minecraft, press 'Options' (above the 'Login' button), Press 'Force update!', then press 'Done', and login to Minecraft. See http://i.imgur.com/5b09B.png for visual instructions.

I've done that and I still does the same thing, I deleted the minecraft files to try to force an update
It stops at:
"Retrieving: Iwl_util.jar 15%" with the same message above that...

Retired StaffWhat antivirus program do you have installed?
I have Norton installed and I have not had these problems before now
