i have lag, not slightly lag, but it's not heavy lag also, it's the framerate staying at 15 - 20 fps. I think it's because java games it's not fast, because i run smooth a lot of better graphics games. I have a Core i3 370M with Intel Graphics HD 3000 at 2,40 ghz and 8 giga byte of Ram. I'm really curious, because my Macbook air with core 2 duo, intel HD 3000, 1,4 ghz with 4 gb of RAM run minecraft a lot of smooth than my Windows Notebook, and i run at minimun configuration all. Can someone help me?
Change your Performance to Max FPS
Turn AdvancedOpenGL on
Turn VSync on
Turn Particles to Minimal
Turn Render Distance down to Short/Tiny.
If that doesn't help, then try force-updating Java.
I don't think it's possible to have Intel HD 3000 on a Core 2 Duo. But yeah, do what cocokat said. Also, make sure your running Java 64. If you downloaded it from a 32 bit browser, your probably not. You can install both, but you need to look close on the download page for a link to other versions.

Yeah now i see, i have the first macbook air generation, its no intel HD 3000 :/, but in my Mac only say Nvidia Video Card, not specificated. i will try update java to 64 bits, since that i already have the best configuration on minecraft. I love minecraft, but i can only play on my Galaxy SIII with pocket edition, because it's a lot of lag, and the funny stuff is that now i'm playing Dead Space 3 in my computer.
Can be the problem that i'm using windows 8? Notch said: we will not support windows 8
Another thing is that my Video Card have 1GB ram, so it's not a poor graphic card out of ram.

If you are playing on a snapshot then you can't use optifine because they only support full releases. If you're playing on 1.5.1 then it should be the one at the top of the page. They will tell you witch version is the right version for Minecraft in the description.
Optifine considerably boosts your fps by giving you a variety of settings to play with. You will even see an improvement even if you don't use the new settings. Hope this helps!

So, i installed Op Light with magic launcher and it does't changed much, when i stop walking or looking it up to 44 fps (before only 20 fps), but when i walk again drop to 10 - 15 fps. At the top of the optifine page there is something that says Preview OptiFine C8 Ultra for Minecraft 1.5 go to the first download link below that. Here is how to install optifine without magic launcher.
Before following these steps, you need to force update minecraft by opening the launcher, go to options and selecting force update and start, once it's done then exit the game.
1. You need winrar (if you don't have it) found here
2. go to your start menu located at the bottom left of your screen.
3. in the search bar, type in %appdata% then hit enter
4. select on .minecraft then go to bin
5. right click on a zip called minecraft or minecraft.jar and click 'open with' then select winrar, if winrar is not there then select "choose default program" then find where you put winrar
6. once you have opened the minecraft.jar, open your Preview OptiFine C8 Ultra for Minecraft 1.5.1 optifine download with winrar
7. highlight everything in the optifine zip except the folder called '...' and put those in the minecraft.jar DO NOT drag the optifine files into a folder, drag them next to the class files section so you don't accidentally put them into a folder
8. Delete META-INF
9. after that, close everything and run minecraft. You should now have the extra settings. You can't run minecraft while the .jar is open.
