I think I found a Bug...

So today i was thinking about making an automatic snow farm, so I wanted to test a few things. When I made the snow golem, it never made any snow! It was really weird, so I figured it was a bug. Could anybody clarify if this is a bug?

Snow golems don't leave snow trails in some biomes, namely Plains, Beaches, Swamp, Mushroom Island, Desert, and Jungle biomes.

I know, but this was on my test world (which is a plains biome). So I do indeed think I have found a bug.
