I have a simple question for those who read this: instead of having to download MC again on a separate computer from minecraft.net, can't I use a thumb-drive to copy all the MC information onto it, and then paste it all onto the other computer? Thanks.
No, you don't. You just might need a pretty huge USB drive, depending on world size. If the worlds aren't huge, then you just need to find the .Minecraft folder in appdata/roaming, and move that between computers.
Why on earth would you need a huge USB size? I have kept all my worlds since like Beta 1.4, and there are hundreds of them. They all add up to like 15 gigs...

Retired StaffNo. Just transfer all the files to their represented file paths on the other computer with a flash drive.
