I installed Minecraft on my laptop and when I play it is very slow, I can barely move without minecraft freezing or lagging. My Laptop can browse the internet and stream fairly fast but video games such as minecraft run poorly. My computer is a Toshiba Windows Vista notebook, it has a pentium Dual core CPU T4200 2.00 GHz, with 4.00 GB of RAM and a 64 bit Operating system. Do I just have a bad laptop for gaming or can I do anything that will make minecraft run decently?

I notice you have very little ram: 4Gb. Upgrading that can help already but I don't know if you can do that with your laptop. It does look like your laptop is optimized for internetuse, not gaming.
That is by no means very little memory. It's fine.
Bad laptop for gaming.

It's the integrated graphics slowing you down.
and it's a really old dual core processor. And it has Vista which is known to overuse system resources and bog down anyways.
