So I tried using Minecraft today, after a long while of not playing it. I never had ANY problems whatsoever playing, unless Mods were installed. Every time an update comes out, I always update it and make sure it works in vanilla first, before putting all my mods back in updated and everything, but now I can't even get to that point. The client logs in, updates, opens a window of blackness, then that window disappears. (Huh?) try multiple times, same thing, just without the update. Confused, I looked around in the files to try to find stuff... only odd thing is that there are only 4 files: the bin folder, lastlogin, output-client.log, and output-client.log.lck.
Then I noticed on my desktop, there were .log files sitting in line. Clicking on one and opening with notepad shows a looooong list of stuff I mostly don't understand.

Seems to be a driver issue, do you happen to have the BETA 13.3 drivers installed for AMD/ATI cards? If so, uninstall them and install the latest stable release, ergo, the ones named Catalyst Software Suite.

Hmm, interesting... Kinda sad though, I like my beta drivers. Helps with current gen games out right now, giving the boost to give the good performance I expect with my card.
Also, I have been using the Beta drivers since I got my new card, a few months ago, and I have used Minecraft after that. How can a recent update mess up Minecraft?
Edit: It seems the 13.3 beta 2 drivers had problems with openGL stuff, so I will try to update to beta 3 before I downgrade to the recent stable drivers. Thanks for the help though.

This is quite angrifying and I wish I could find the answer myself, but I have looked through this whole thing multiple times and still have yet to understand why this is happening. Hopefully someone out there does.

Retired StaffSeems to be a driver issue, do you happen to have the BETA 13.3 drivers installed for AMD/ATI cards? If so, uninstall them and install the latest stable release, ergo, the ones named Catalyst Software Suite.
Please post your DxDiag log if you require assistance in replacing your drivers.
Hmm, interesting... Kinda sad though, I like my beta drivers. Helps with current gen games out right now, giving the boost to give the good performance I expect with my card.
Also, I have been using the Beta drivers since I got my new card, a few months ago, and I have used Minecraft after that. How can a recent update mess up Minecraft?
Edit: It seems the 13.3 beta 2 drivers had problems with openGL stuff, so I will try to update to beta 3 before I downgrade to the recent stable drivers. Thanks for the help though.
