I bought minecraft directly from the official site and downloaded it, but then I open it and sign in And if I clicked not now for the update, it would say done loading but wouldn't completely finish, if I clicked yes to update, is would stop loading on retrieving: lwjgl.jar 10%. I kept on loading it a ton of times and it finally got past that and now it gets stuck on minecraft.jar 91% (about halfway). I've tried almost everything-disabling firewall, run as admin, deleting the file, and my java is up to date. Nothing's working and I've had it for about a month and a half but haven't been able to play! Please help!
You may need to reinstall the locally installed files that Minecraft puts into place.
To do so, start Minecraft, press 'Options' (above the 'Login' button), Press 'Force update!', then press 'Done', and login to Minecraft. See http://img.mcf.li/force_update.png for visual instructions.
