Hey everybody. Just to simplify things, I need YOUR help. I have just recently talked to somebody from Dell Tech. Support and my hard drive has crashed, and is going to be replaced. I am posting this to ask you a question regarding Minecraft, of course. And that is, "If my hard drive crashes, will my single player worlds be deleted permanently? And if not, can they be recovered?" I am in desperate need to know this, due to the fact that I just started a community that took months to build, and I do not want this to go to waste. Please answer this if you know it, thanks for reading- Mamapootis

Depends, if your hard drive needs to be reformatted, then yes it will be deleted. If you can, just make a backup of the .minecraft folder on an external drive.
Thanks you two. But I can't even get to my main screen to launch anything. So how would I download it on an external drive? ( I am assuming this isn't possible.)What does it mean that the hard drive has been re-formatted anyways? I am no wizz at this stuff.
Thanks for clearifying. all of you. I will try to keep my hard drive when they come to replace it. If I remember, I will tell you how it goes thanks again. DONT LOOSE HOPE. YOU ARE MAMAPOOTIS lol
