U have to use MCEdit and delete this dont shown Chunk (looks like he is defekt) MC will regenerate the chunk after u start the game and enter the world. Maybe (if u world older then ure aktual MC Version) the new chunk look diferent, thats becaus ther changing chunkgenerator from new MC version.
U can also kompress and upload u world and give us the linke and we fix it for u.
There's no way I'm deleting chunks. I've used MCedit a lot before, and I have reason to believe that once you have removed an area, it's gone.
No he's suggesting that you completely delete the chunk data. Currently your data for that chunk is corrupt and so minecraft can't load it, but it won't regenerate it either because there are files for that chunk there. If you delete the files for that chunk then the game will regenerate them back to their original state. I'm rusty on my MCedit, but what you need to do is select the entire chunk (not just a portion of it) and tell MCedit to delete it. Here is a brief description stolen from another forum topic:
In MCEdit use the selection tool to highlight the offending chunks then click "Select Chunks" followed by "Chunk Control". Then use the "Delete" option. Save and quit.
You can tell if the chunks are still there as there will be a checkerboard "background" in MCEdit. If the chunk is missing completely the background will be blue.
I took a look at this dark area one night in Minecraft, and thought it would go back to normal. Right here is about the time my game crashed.
I found out that I could take damage if I tried walking into it, but I could not reproduce that.
I came back to it later (same day in the real world).
I tested it. If you look closely you can see some dirt that I threw into the hole. It went straight back into my inventory.
Here I am, trying to place blocks inside it. Cannot be done.
What on Earth should I do?
I also have a crash report.
// You should try our sister game, Minceraft!

Retired StaffThat's a good suggestion, but the hole is still there.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
