I had just installed minecraft and i can run minecraft but when i hit the login button it gives me this message:

I have no clue what is happening. I researched online and nothing is helping me. I tried to force update minecraft several times and the same thing continued to happen.
I tried what you guys said but it is still happening. If this helps i run minecraft w/ java 7 runtime. The problem also occurs after i it login. The screen just turns black. I can run my server just fine (and other java programs) without any errors though. Do u think it could be a bug in the programming?
