Looks to me like Java may be messed up. I would recommend uninstalling any Java installs you have now and then install a fresh copyand re-test to see if the issue still exists. If it does still happen then perhaps you don't have enough free memory or space on your harddrive?
So I uninstalled Java, cleared my registry of anything Java related and then restarted my PC. I did a fresh install of Java, restarted the PC again and am still having the same issue.
Any other suggestions? Its really frustrating as I have been greatly enjoying the game for months and now I cannot even load it! Thanks!
I recently updated my Java to Version 7 update 17 and now when I try to launch Minecraft I get the following error:
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Moderatorremember to use spoilers
Open notepad, copy the following: java -Xms650m -jar "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop\minecraft.exe
Save on desktop as Minecraft.bat, then use this to launch the game.
I am able to get in and play, so I'm good to go! Thanks everyone!
