I had to re-install Minecraft on my Mac, and I used a backed-up version on the game that worked previously. When I did, a message asking if I wanted to update the program appeared.
If I select no, the program says "Updating Minecraft," that it is "done loading," loads to a certain point, but the green bar stops with only about an inch left on it.
If I select yes, I get an error message that says, "Failed to launch. Fatal error occurred (4): /Users/"Computer name"/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
I thought that it meant I needed to create a new Minecraft folder under the Application Support file (since it didn't exist), but apparently that wasn't the case. What does this mean? How do I fix it? Either way, it seems, the program doesn't work
