When I run Minecraft, the GPU usage gets to around 30% (even then, only when doing things, after all the chunks are loaded it sits at 0%) and it sits around 30-40FPS.
While 30-40FPS isn't bad, it's not even stressing the GPU, and could be doing much more, but instead it's just sitting at 30% usage - and it won't go above that no matter what.
All the settings are right, VSync off, Max FPS, etc - it just won't go above 30% GPU usage.
The CPU is not being stressed, also around 30%, so it's not the bottleneck - and the computer is just a few months old so it's not bloated or full of viruses.
So, yeah, an ideas what could be wrong with my GPU and Minecraft, or how to fix it?
PS: The computer runs Windows 8, and if it's relevant, Advanced OpenGL halves my frame rate when it's on - so that's off! I have also tried OptiFine and the GPU still sits at 30% and same FPS.
Maybe the i5's integrated graphics is being used for Minecraft. I'm not sure how to fix it but there should be an option for disabling Intel graphics somewhere.
I don't think so. I know the integrated graphics is on, but the Radeon usage is 0% until I turn on MC, where it shoots up to 30%.
So, I think it's using the Graphics card...
It's the graphic card. I STRONGLY suggest that you refer to ManlikeKami's post. This is a common problem with amd graphic cards. Also check how much "dedicated video ram" you have. (Right click any where on the desktop's background->Screen Resolution->Advanced settings
Edit: Obvious, but it never hurts to update your Java.

Java is latest 32-bit.
I saw that post, I have already done everything said in it.
Anyway, today it seems to be a bit better, hits 60-70FPS and goes up to 50-60% of GPU, but still won't use it all :L

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
Yes, it's plugged in.
