I'm getting these strange flashes on my screen (Only in the minecraft window) whilst i'm playing.
I've posted my system specs and Direct X log below, Note this is the only game that does this to me. I just purchased this laptop and haven't had any problems with it except for minecraft. Also I do not use any modified clients or modifications besides the WorldEdit CUI & Lite Loader (similar to mod loader)

Hmm, is it lines flashing from one corner almost to the other or is it blocks,
this is probaly a graphics card issue
the block thing well i found out that the issue is from watching a pyropuncher LP video

OR BROKEN GRAPHICS CARD IDK WHAT
No it's just a slight flash every once and a while like the game is "refreshing", and I highly doubt it's the graphics card considering I can play Battlefield 3 in ultra high settings with x8 anti aliasing with absolutely no problem at all lol.

I had the same issue for a while. I read somewhere that Nvidia's Geforce series is too fast for Minecraft-and only Minecraft, other games don't have this problem-and it causes a disconnect between the refresh rate of the GUI and the world. Optifine didn't work. I read that disabling anisotropic filtering globally from the Nvidia control panel can fix it, but it didn't work for me.
I managed to fix it by completely deleting my .minecraft folder and Minecraft.exe and redownloading from minecraft.net. I have no idea how that worked, but the flashing has completely stopped.

This kind of thing happened to me in starforge, but it was one corner and was blue and it went away and came back and it's been doing it ever since. I guess you could call that flashing.

It's nothing like that, no block colors change or anything the graphics just hick up a couple times and it stops..

Problem solved after enabling "vsync", apparently there is a issues with the amount of FPS my computer can do and minecraft, as stated by mclovin. Right after enabling vsync I got a steady 60 FPS instead of 600 FPS and no more screen flashing :D. Game runs very smooth now with no lag what so ever!

Curse PremiumOptifine?
Graphics are not integrated, it's got 2 Nivida Geforce 650m's SLI'd, I also just updated to the latest drivers.
Edit: I've updated the LWJGL files and am still having this issue.
I've tried this and it didn't solve the problem at all, and I ended up force updating.

Alright I give it a try thanks
I have 64 bit java installed currently.
I'd rather solve the issues then play via browser. >.>
