minecraft no sound

I had to delete my .minecraft folder becuase i had a problem with a mod i started it up and there was no sound I tried f3+s and restarting my computer. I also checked my resource folder but there is files there. Thanks for the help

i downloaded it what do i do. Do i drag and drop copy and paste?
