So my two cousins have seen me play and they loved the game. They convinced my uncle to buy them a copy, which he did.
Were having technical difficulties. I dont live with them, so I can't check it out for myself. Nor can I really describe the issues theyre having at the moment.
I think I'll make my way out to their place to see for myself, but really only my uncle knows the details.
They have two computers. A home and a work laptop. Windows 7 I think. Pretty new.
He tried on the home one first. The game was telling him there was an issue with the color schemes. Then on his laptop, he can't seem to get access to the download link from the website.
I tried to walk him through it but even I ran into trouble.
I'm gonna go see them tomorrow. Then we can both go into detail on it in this topic.
But I think the most useful thing would be finding a tech support phone number. We both looked for it. It didnt seem like there was one.
Mojang does not have a tech support hotline. For "live" support, the closest you can get is to join the #minecrafthelp channel on the Esper IRC network.
In any case, help is also available here. When you can, obtain the DxDiag logs of both the computers.

This issue I have never heard of before, can you provide the screen shot of the error?

The download link for the Minecraft launcher for Windows is - https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/launcher/Minecraft.exe
If you are using Internet Explorer to download it, then that is most likely the issue. Use a different browser, preferably Chrome or Firefox.
