The past few days, my single player let's play world screwed up while I was building a nether rail track. The world started to lag immensely (Blocks not disappearing after destruction, chest not opening), and then after a few restarts, the world failed to load at all.
I loaded a backup and everything was fine. Until I started building in the nether again. I destroyed the same portal and the series of glitches began to occur. I've replaced my level.dat and reinstalled all the java/minecraft related software.
I am starting to believe that the destruction of this one portal corrupts my world. I deleted DIM-1 after destroying the portal and it still wont work correctly. Please help!
What are your computer specs? my best answer is to just create a new world if the same problem occurs it is probably something on your end. I have already had massive errors on minecraft when I would be running at 100+ fps on far and fancy and just drop down to 4 fps in a flat desert biome.
