Hey I couldn't find any posts about this, and I'm hoping I'm not the only one with this problem.
before I say anything, these are my specs.
16GB RAM
Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz processor
Intel® HD Graphics 4000
64bit operating system
Windows 8
the computer itself is an Alienware M17X R4 laptop
that should be all you need to know

The problem is that 1. sometimes every item texture would flash to the item, nothing or a white square
2. all block textures would flash a strange leaf texture or would become fully transparent.

How I encountered:
1. installed, logged on, made new world
2. looked around world for a bit, fine
3. jungle biome generated
4. came aprox 20blocks within biome, textures went crazy
I then ran away from the biome, but it continued. I also restarted minecraft yet it continued. I deleted the world and created another in which i spawned in a jungle biome and the textures went crazy.

I do not understand why this happens, please help me! Is it to do with Windows 8?

I couldn't get a screenshot inside of minecraft so I used an external screen capture program, so it shows me in my inventory http://img826.images...aftspazzing.png

[EDIT] I tried to change the video settings in a non spastic biome and this caused the bug to happen again. Also when I put it onto SMALL RENDER DISTANCE this happens: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/839/minecraftspazzing2.png/

I might be having this problem too but I was no where NEAR a jungle biome. I was in an NPC village when the textures went haywire. This seems to be random as this glitch sometimes doesn't happen and at other times it does. Did the mob's textures glitch out or not? (example creeper, villager, zombies)

I can see mobs perfectly fine, it's just items/textures

Also, Are you using the newest version of Java?

When I opened this page and clicked to run the scan thingy it froze :/
Also I had to update my java when I opened minecraft, so I'm more than likely using the newest

Then we have the same problem. I updated my graphics driver and it helped a little but its still happening. But I have not had what happened in the picture happen to me yet. We might want to report this to mojang ASAP.

I'm confused by your bump. If you look at the bug report I linked to above, it is still an unresolved issue. In fact last Friday Mojang employee 'Grum' asked if anyone with this issue was still having it in the 1.5.2 pre-release or if the issue was resolved.
