Ok so I have a pretty good computer I can run minecraft on basic graphics with no fps lag etc. My friend has a bukkit server and we used to play all of the time. Now after 1.5.1 my connection seems to be crap, the game itself says I have full bar connection but when I type it takes 1-2 minutes for me to see anything I can run around and do other stuff but any building or breaking also take 1-2 minutes to respond. Also when I type my friends see it instantly. I've tried a lot of troubleshooting techniques but none seem specific enough.

all i can say is i bet it's not minecraft that's doing it

Ok first off this should be posted in Server Support now this is not a prob with your internet/your computer the prob is your friends computer/internet there are not a lot of computers that can handle a minecraft server though it's kinda odd that your on a server for just your friends *3 to 5 players* and it's still lagging your best bet is to ask your friend to download this plugin called clearlagg works amazing for me If it doesn't work then his computer can not handle the server even with an antilagg plugin

The server is not JUST for us it will be going public so he has his own server computer built and setup purely for running a server and we have tested both sides of the connection, his and mine and we can't find anything wrong. ill send him that and give it a try thanks
