How do I downgrade to version 6? When I download the app, and try the run it, it says " Minecraft" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash. But if I take this same file and move to my MacPro it works perfect.

Ah, that is gatekeeper then.
Newer versions of OS X add new security measures which give scary warning messages for any programs not from the App store. To force your computer to allow you to play Minecraft, disable Gatekeeper entirely by following the instructions at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5290
If that does not solve the issue, you might still need to downgrade to Java 6, of which a guide I have hyperlinked the "Java 6" text in my previous post. If you missed it. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559

Newer versions of OS X add new security measures which give scary warning messages for any programs not from the App store. To force your computer to allow you to play Minecraft, disable Gatekeeper entirely by following the instructions at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5290
This is what the gatekeeper dialog looks like: http://cargo.dcurt.is.s3.amazonaws.com/unsigned.jpg
