Okay, so I made a world a long time ago, it's probably been 4-5 months since I played minecraft, and when I logged on two days ago and loaded my world, it had been reset to the originally generated world, all except my inventory and where my spawn is, and I say the spawn part because I had every single item in my inventory in tact, so my compass was pointing to where my bed WAS when I had my treehouse built, but everything on the map had been reset.
Note: I believe this happened because of the update I did to my client but I don't know how to get it back.
And also, I originally was using 64-Bit Java when I was using Minecraft that 4-5 months ago, but had uninstalled it at some point, when I tried to open the game it gave me an error message and opened Firefox to download Java, but it gave me the link for the 32-Bit, so I was playing with that for a bit til I realized it when I looked in settings due to it being laggy and glitchy.
I am concerned I will not get it back, especially since it autosaved when I was in game after loading it up the other day.
The new game save system is incompatible with words made in beta 1.2 or before. If your world was made in or before beta 1.2 you won't be able to convert to the new format without converting it to the format used between beta 1.3 and gold 1.2.
If your game autosaved. I think the old chunks should still be there. If you have a .jar file from between beta 1.3 and gold 1.2, use that and load the world in it. If you don't have a .jar from that range of time, upload your world to mediafire, and I'll try to convert it.
Well, I was able to recover world 1 and world 3. You can get the download here. Unfortunately, Scornfulwolf does not have any of the world data, so it is gone for good. If you find a back-up to Scornfulwolf, you can go ahead and try to send that to me and I'll see if it will work.
Okay, well thank you, I am glad I got those two back, although I wish I could get my world that was deleted back, that was the one that I worked really hard on and it was a really good map
