I have this error when I try to join most servers. Two servers I have played on before still do let me connect but for some reason, others one won't let me.
Error:
Java.net.socketexception: Permission Denied: Connect

(Note: I've reinstalled minecraft and java, and have turned off firewall. I have kaspersky, an anti-virus and have that disabled for the time being, I currently use the most recent java update for java7)

I'm pretty sure. I don't want to fully get rid of it just incase. I went to settings and unchecked Enable Protection. I'm assuming there will probably be more steps to fully disabling it though. Thanks for responding. C:

I already did that. Also for me, protection isn't the second button in menu. It's the first.


EDIT: When I turned on kaspersky AFTER enabling it, it pretty much crapped my browser. I don't think it even has any positive effect in this case

I can join two servers but no others. I asked my friends and they said that the servers I can't connect to are online and they said they were.
EDIT: I uninstalled it and now I get a new error:
Connection timed out: Connect
