I'm pretty sure it's a java issue, but I really have no clue. Either way, the message reads "Fatal error occurred (4): Address family not supported by protocol family: connect". Also, when I log in an play on single player, my skin isn't there. It just has the default Steve skin. Please help, as I have no idea what I'm doing.

I suggest uninstalling Java and then reinstalling the 32bit/64bit version depending on your OS.
