Hi. I recently sold my Radeon HD 6850 and I am waiting for my new card. In the mean time I have to use my onboard graphics which is the ATI Radeon 3000.

As soon as I start minecraft, it crashes. I've read that these graphics should be able to run it.

Hi, I have both Java 6 and Java 7 because my minecraft does not run with Java 7. I dont know why but it refuses to without java 6 installed. Also could you please elaborate on how to edit the 'classpath'? Sorry im not that tech savy.

I have tried both updating the driver and editing the classpath. I am still getting the same crashing issue.

I restarted my computer and I am now recieveing this error. Minecraft doesnt crash, but gives a error in the client itself. Im positive I downloaded the right drivers. (ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics - Integrated)

Hi. Thank you all for your help! I have managed to fix the issue by following these steps. Still appreciate the help given

Go to Control Panel
Go to Device Manager (You may have to change the view of control panel to see this)
Expand Display Adapters by clicking on the arrow
Right click your graphics card and select Properties, for example, mine was named AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200
Go to the Driver tab
Click Update Driver
Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Select the driver that is NOT from Microsoft Corporation
Click Next
It should now install the driver software, this may take a few minutes. During the proccess your screen will go black, but it should come back shortly after, this is because in order for your computer to change your driver, it must uninstall the old driver which displays graphics on your screen
You have successfully changed the driver of your computer, you should not need to restart, however, if you are still failing to play, do so now
