Minecraft won't update to 1.4.7 - Java Edition Support - Support - Minecraft Forum

I just bought Minecraft [the pre-paid card], and made a Minecraft account. I logged in and it started downloading Minecraft. After finished downloading, I had to wait like 5 minutes because the Mojang logo froze. Then, it opened up Minecraft and says it was Minecraft 1.5.1.
I do not have the crack version.

Solutions I tried doing, but FAILED:
1. Clicking "Options" then "Force Update"
2. Deleting the bins folder in .minecraft folder.
3. Deleting the whole .minecraft folder
4. Disabling anti-virus (I'm using Avast!)

Any ideas? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help. I just saved up all of my money to buy Minecraft.

wait a minute.... minecraft is working, but your wanting it to update to 1.4.7 and your on 1.5.1?

if i read that right, then you can't, the launcher will only update, not downgrade the version

to downgrade you need to use something like mcnostalgia

Oh wow, I feel really stupid. Last time, I was playing on my friend's account and it had 1.4.7 (I believe that was the latest version?). I didn't notice that 1.4.7 was before 1.5.1. So so so sorry guys.
