I have a new Mac Book Pro with Retina Display 15in running OSX10.8.3 I've installed Minecraft 1.5.1 in the applications folder...and it runs fine until you get to game play. It will not Right click so you can not place things open doors or anything that requires a right click. Right clicking works fine outside of minecraft and it is set up properly in systems preferences. When Left clicking in the game, a single click and with your "bare hands" you chop a tree and no wood appears. Also same with digging or mining. The other problem is when it is night it is so dark you can not see anything except when you are in proximity to a torch or light source. I've Deleted and reinstalled the file to be sure it was not corrupt. Any advice would be appreciated. Interestingly enough my mid 2008 Macbook Pro runs it just fine so I've been having to play it on my old computer...lol Thanks!
This could have something to do with the Java version. LWJGL is incompatible with the Apple version of Java 7 go to this website to learn how to check your Java version. If you are running version 7 (1.7.0_anything) then you will need to downgrade to the Apple version of Java 6. This should solve your problems.

Retired StaffAnyways that mini-rant out of the way. LWJGL is not functioning with the Apple version of Java 7. So you have to fix that manualy.
