Lately, (well, for a month or two) my Minecraft sound hasn't been working. Yes, I have the sound turned up in the Options; yeah, my headphones are plugged in and sound on computer is turned up. So don't start on that. My sound won't work at all, the music, the mobs, ambient, etc. I've been playing on Peaceful for a while, and it's getting really boring.
My other problem is that when I move items around in my inventory, I have to hold them. I can't shift-click at all, and it's really hard to work it. This is a rather minor problem, and I don't know if it's been stated already that this is a known bug.
I am not a computer geek, no matter how hard I try. I don't know what it means to open the blah blah blah and rename the so-and-so to fix the 1.42532e586 code value and pee on the keyboard. If you don't mind, please dumb it down for me so I can read it and not get sidetracked by my ADD. Thanks for your help and time.
I'd really like this fixed if y'all wouldn't mind helping me find some fixes. It's really annoying, since I've been on a server with my friends and gotten killed and stuff destroyed a lot.
Just try force updating (You can do this by going into the launcher and clicking options right above login you can also just manually delete your .minecraft folder found in:
C:\User\your name\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
You can get here by going into Windows Explorer and pasting that into it.
