Are you playing online, or alone? If you are online, the problem is probably the server, not your computer.
If you are playing alone, I'm not sure. Do you use mods? It's possible that those are the problem. Or it's possible that your computer is too slow for Minecraft. If you turn down the settings, like the fog, lighting, and fast graphics, it's possible that your problem will be fixed. Also, this is the wrong section, and the admins will probably move this.

I know what the problem is homeslice. The problem is he, like me, is using an old slow machine and ever since they forced you to run a LAN server in the background, regardless of whether you are using it or not, it has caused "server side lag" on your own machine while playing OFFLINE! You have no idea how much that makes me mad, I don't recall anyone ever asking for LAN. Honestly, who the hell even uses LAN for anything in this day and age? Online, local co-op, or nothing.

I use LAN, but I have absolutely no idea how to say "Local Area Network" in Spanish, so I'll leave it at turning down his settings. But honestly, I find LAN servers useful. Much more convenient than setting up a full server, and they don't take bandwidth, theoretically.

The point is that when you break a block, it takes a long time to disappear (even earth blocks)
reinstalling the game does not fix anything
