Like many mac users, I had been experiencing crashes in the initial 1.5 update, so I was pleased to see that the bug would be fixed in 1.5.1. So I started up minecraft as normal: opened it from the dock, logged in, chose yes to "Do you want to update Minecraft?", and then... blackscreen. I didn't even get to the Mojang screen. There is no crash report to be given because it didn't actually crash, it's just frozen in a black screen. Is this just me, or are other people experiencing this? Either way, help would be vastly appreciated.
Should the problem be resolved, thank you in advance,

I know this is the Unmodified Minecraft Client Support, but have you tried deleting the Mojang* files inside your META-INF?
Also, if you haven't tried it, delete your bin folder and version file, and let it try the download again.

Again, probably another stupid question, but have you got the very latest version of Java?
(You can check with the Java Preferences.app, available from System Preferences.)

I'm not running windows, therefore I do not have DxDiag. I've searched for a Mac equivalent, but with no luck.

Did that. Aboslutely no effect. I hate Lion. Really, really hate it. Any other suggestions? Thanks for the help anyway, even if it didn't work.
