For some reason after my PC has been on for a few days, My minecraft client seems to be running a little too fast. Restarting my PC works, but I want to know how to solve it for good without a restart need. I also try using the settings "Power Saver", but that makes my FPS go FREAKING SLOW. Each day this also gets faster. Here are some details.
Heres what happens:
Pretty much when I'm on minecraft, every once in a while minecraft will "Skip ahead". I mean by this that
my character would walk 5 blocks almost instantly for about half a second. This causes me on servers with nocheat, to freeze and I would be unable to move. Theres also that on the splash screen, the little video in the background, would speed up really fast for about half a second. I really need some help. If you can't understand the text, I'm sorry, I don't know how else to put it.
Basic OS info:
Windows XP 32 Bit
4GB Ram (Minecraft runs on 800MB due to java virual machine error.)
Windows Service Pack 3
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ 2.51 GHz,
Does your CPU have a variable clock speed?
If so, that's your explanation.
I experienced this when not overclocking properly.
I'm not quite sure, the problem is this PC is CUSTOM BUILT. The box it came in doesn't actually show if the clock speed is variable or not, the closest I can give you was my processor information.
Okay, I'll research the CPU.
My computer is also custom-built.
Okay, researched it.
The answer is yes. Have you used AMD OverDrive?
Have you changed any settings in the BIOS?
Err... Now I'm a bit confused. I don't think anything in the BIOS has changed. Also what is amd overdrive?

Okay I've searched it. I'm going to try it out.
Oh.....
Crap...
(Uninstalls it)Okay, so what do we do now?
That's what I'm checking for...
If the program browser would freaking open up...
